1979 911SC Battery tray and front suspension pan corrosion

Body

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC; Year: 1979; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 140, 200;

I recently purchased a 1979 911SC. Although I had a prepurchase inspection done by a Porsche dealership, we all missed some serious corrosion under the battery. The battery tray has corroded through in several places and the corrosion extends into the front of the pan. I know that this can be a problem because the front A-arm attaches to the pan but I don't have an idea about how complex a job it will be to replace the front pan. I have made a visual inspection of the A-arm attach point and it appears to be solid. Are there steps I can take without replacing the pan?
