1979 911SC Timing Chain Replacement

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC; Year: 1979; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 137,000;

I need to take down my engine to replace the flywheel seal and passengerside cam o-ring and seal gasket which are leaking badly. I was wonderingif it would be wise to replace the timing chains while I was in therewithout replacing the cam gears or intermediate shaft gears as well? I donot want to tear down the block just for this. I know that you shouldreplace everything as a set on motorcycle chains and sprockets as theyall wear together, just replacing chains alone is not recommended. Is itworth the trouble to just do the chains alone or am I opening a can ofworms here? I had installed pressure fed tensioners 2 years ago as anupgrade and noticed that the idler arm adjuster casting came very closeto the top of the cam chain housings on the drivers side, indicatingchain wear/stretch. I haven't seen a spec anywhere that indicates whatthis clearance should be before replacing chains.
