1979 Turn Signal Function

Electrical

Vehicle Information: Year: 1979; Engine (Size, Modifications): 3.3; Total Mileage: 79500;

I noticed today that if I leave the turn indicator switch on (left or right), with the ignition off, both the indicator light and the side lights, front and rear, stay on. With the ignition on, the lights work correctly. I have recently done two things. I have removed the front bumper to repaint, and dissasembled all the front lighting (turn signal, etc). I believe that I reconnected everything correctly. Plus if I did miswire something, would it affect the rear lights also?Second. I removed the steering wheel and installed a new MOMO wheel. Could this be the problem? Horn works okay.Or could it be something else, and I have just been lucky enough not to have left the turn indicator switch on and not drained down the battery.If you have any info or suggestions on this, I would greatly appreciate it.
