1981 911SC Engine Hesitation at Low RPM

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 SC; Year: 1981; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 157,000;

I recently had my car prepared for emissions. It wasn't runningperfectly prior, but has been running horribly since. The car hesitateswhen running low in the rpm range, especially in 2nd and 3rd gears. Ihave most of the problem when I have downshifted to those gears forcornering or slower traffic. When I press on the accelerator the carlurches like I'm a novice with a stick. That is not the case, however.I am wondering if this could be coming from a bad oxygen sensor or a badfuel filter. Other concerns include a slipping clutch. The clutch hasbeen slipping a bit more than it used to but for the most part stillfeels ok. My garage changed a spark plug wire and adjusted the fuelmixture and thought that would remedy the problem. It has not. Do youhave any suggestions or thoughts?
