1982 911 SC Stuck Throttle Body

Cables and Controls

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 SC; Year: 1982; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 101,800;

On two separate occasions on the same day, the throttle body and cable have stuck a bit before releasing to its normal idle position. I can take my thumb and push down on the throttle lever next to the block, and see it hesitate for a few seconds before the cable and attached lever slide back into place.The ppi that was performed on this car noted some slackness in the throttle linkage, but nothing to be overly concerned with. I have approx. 1/2" of play in the accelerator pedal before it moves the linkage.Should this be checked out immediately to find the direct cause?
