1983 911 SC Engine Starting

Vehicle Information: Model: 911sc; Year: 1983; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 54,000;

I pulled the motor over the winter to replace the clutch and to install updated chain tensioners/pop-off valve. The car ran fine before I pulled the motor. Now when I go to start it, it runs for 8 to 10 seconds then shuts off. I thought it might be an electrical problem so I replaced the ignition switch and fuel pump relay. I got it to run the for about five minutes before cutting out. I checked the air box and the air flow sensor plate seems to stick somewhat in its travel. Is there an ajustment for the sensor plate? Any other ideas of what to look for? I have gone over all the electrical connections/grounds and everything seems to be ok?
