1983 911SC Rear Tail Light Not Working

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 SC; Year: 1983; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 160125;

I recently removed the engine and transmission to do some work, and thensent the car out for a re-paint. The body shop removed doors, bumpers,glass etc. We made the mechanical repairs and put the motor back in afterthe paint was completed to find that everything worked well except theleft rear tail lamp. It has no power to it; all the other lights at leftrear work fine. If a wire got pinched causing a short to ground, wouldyou suppose it more likely to have been caused by engine or bumperre-install? I'm not looking to assess blame, just want to fix the darnthing! We have power at the fuse box; is there a diode or in line fusethat could be causing my problem?
