1983 944 Hot Start Problem

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944): 944; Year: 1983; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.5 L; Total Mileage: 121000;

I've asked about this problem in the past and received a reply. Thank you for for the quick response. Unforturnately, I checked out the fuel pump and it appears to be operating. I am not, however, getting spark on start-up when the engine is hot. I tried running a wire from the 9 pin conn. to the coil (in addition to the original wire) to no avail. I thought I had replaced the coil but I cannot find a receipt -- apparently the coil may still be suspect. The engine never stalls no matter how long it's run or how hot it gets. The problem only occures after shutting down. The head, injection (except for the fuel rail), air flow meter, fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor cap (but not the rotor), major ground leads (battery and engine), DME (used), plug wires including coil wire have been replaced (with all new parts except for the DME being a used part).
