Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944): 944; Year: 1984; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.5L; Total Mileage: 112,000;

A while ago I sent you an email and you answered it (reference: Tech Q&A 924/944(through 1986) Fuel system, it was dated 4/2/2005, subject 1984 944). That was a while ago. I followed your instructions, but the car still does not get fuel. Since then, I have been deployed to Iraq (I am in the Army National Guard), and will be here quite a while yet. When I had some spare time, I pondered the problem, and decided to send a follow up question.I though about the answer of grounds being properly connected, and could find no loose connections. I asked a mechanic at a dealer I know which wire from the injectors is ground, because he also said that could be a problem. He said that the ground wire is brown. I carefully pulled away a section of the wire harness to see the colors on the wires, and none are brown. There are 7 wires. 4 are Red with Blue stripe, 2 are greyish-white, and 1 is greyish white with a black stripe. Which is ground? I can't find an answer in my shop manual.The engine gets spark, no problem. The proper anount of fuel is being delived, as I stated in my last email. DME? I hope not, and the dealer mechanic said DME problem is unlikely on that year and model. Hopefully, You can help me with the ground colors, and where they go that might be causing the problem. When I get back to the states, I intend to get this car running.
