The seats in our 1985 911 seem to be unusually high, to the point that Icannot sit up straight with a helmet on during track events! The car isa coupe with factory sunroof, and the seats are factory full-leatherpower sport seats (manufactured by Reccaro). I am about 6' 3" tall, butnot very long in the torso, so I shouldn't really have a problem. Wepreviously had a 1986 911 that seemed to have lower seats (which, by theway, were not sport seats) and more headroom. Is it true that the 1985911 seat rail mounts are a bit higher than other years, and is there asuitableseat rail that might provide some more headroom? Also, what is theoptimum method for lowering, aligning, and "corner-balancing" a 1985 911?(i.e. lowering and measuring by suspension geometry or wheel lip height;corner-balancing with scales or simply by measurement?)
