1985 911 Carrera Low on One Side

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1985; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 108000;

My '85 911 sits higher on one side than the other by about 1.5 inches.Also, the car rides very rough and makes a loud banging noise when I hitbumps. I have been told that the shocks are worn out. I am about toreplace the shock absorbers with the stock Boge gas shock absorbers. Will the absorbers fix the roughness, noise and height problems? Also, Iam replacing the shocks myself. Do I need to purchase any other partssuch as bushings or washers?
