1985 Carerra over rev.

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1985; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2 liter stock; Total Mileage: 102,800;

Chris,Great to see you back...I know the answer is probably I don't know or who knows...but yesterday at Autocross while coming off the line I got a bit into the redline for a couple of seconds and backed off quickly. The car has run fine with no noticable sign of anything wrong, but it bothers me a bit. I did not notice a rev limiter kick in at the time though (maybe that means I caught it before the system did?). I have read other posts on the subject, just wanted to know if you have any thoughts. Short of tearing it down, if it runs fine, safe to assume no damage done? How durable are the 3.2's in these situations? I understand there is an area or two of weakenss in these engines.Thanks,Todd
