1985.5 944 Start-up idle


Vehicle Information: Year: 1985; Engine (type, size, modifications): 4 cyl 2.5l stock; Total Mileage: 108,000;

I am getting ready to replace all belts and the waterpump. (Since it's the original pump, I find it prudent to do.) Should I replace the motor mounts at this time, and can it be done basically with the car on jack stands?As the idle at start up is not very smooth, around 900 RPM and it stumbles when I try to feed some gas, should I replace the idle air stabilizer valve? Where is it located? I just performed a tune up, plugs, distributor cap and rotor. The compression is within 5 psi of recommended spec. Once the engine warms up I have no problems with idle or anything.
