1986 911 Carrera Engine Rebuild

Vehicle Information: Model: Carerra; Year: 1986; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2L with PMO carbs, GE-40 cam, SSI exhaust; Total Mileage: 60,000;

I am building a "hotrod" street car with the 3.2L engine (into a 1973coupe). I read Bruce Anderson's book but I thought there were some newrecommendations regarding head studs. [1] Which head studs need to be replaced? The non-magnetic Dilavar ones? The steel ones (top row). All of them? None of them (note: my Dilavarstuds have places where the paint is missing).[2] What do I need to put there instead? There are rumors that thedealers have "secret" new ones that are the best. Also, I''ve heardrumors that the ones that are threaded the entire length of the stud arebest (others say they are no longer best, or no longer offered). I'd liketo avoid the expense of the RaceWare studs if possible -- it's a streetengine. Thanks for help in clearing up the confusion!
