1986 944 Front Aluminum Control Arms

Suspension

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944): 944; Year: 1986; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.5; Total Mileage: 62,000;

I was instructing a driving school this weekend, and started to get a vibration in the front end. It appeared to get worse when cornering. I know that the aluminum a-arms tend to have issues, particularly on 944 Turbos (mine is not a turbo). Is this a possibility on my car? Is there a way to inspect the a-arms and spheical bearings to see if they need replaced? If it is the a-arm, can the spherical bearing be replaced or does the a-arm need to be replaced? Is there anything else that I might want to check other than bearings, shocks, etc.?
