1986 944 Lower Control Arms

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944): 944; Year: 1986; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.5L 4CYL. NON TURBO; Total Mileage: 170,245;

The ball joints in the lower aluminum control arms have started to knock and have excessive amounts of play. Is there a good source of rebuilt A-Arms available which will stand up to Time Trial events and Autocrossing? I have found different types of repairs available: 1)Rebuilding the Arm with nylon bushings using the stock ball and aluminum socket. 2)Rebuilding the Arm using Bronze bushings and the original aluminum socket. 3)Machining the aluminum Arms socket to accept an aftermarket, pressed in, cast iron balljoint assy. The question is which method would be best with out going to option #4 - Aftermarket control arms?
