1986 944 Turbo Bypassing Factory Alarm

Electrical

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944): 944; Year: 1986; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.5; Total Mileage: 75,000;

When I bought this car I got no alarm key and was not interested in getting one,since the car stays in a garage and is driven weekends at autox. Last weekend, while the car was parked, the alarm started going off during a heavy rain storm when the door was opened. I found the alarrm horn wires and disconected the ground wire, but later found the car would crank, but not start. We were able to push start the car and make it home and the car now starts, however I notice when I open the door I hear a ticking noise coming from the passenger floor area? How can I bypass the alarm so this does not happen again...I don't need the alarm, but don't want to be stranded.
