1986 951 Oil Pressure/Viscosity on Modified Engine

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944): 951; Year: 1986; Engine (type, size, modifications): stock 2.5L block, modified exh., intake, head, K27, mass air flow; Total Mileage: 13.4k since rebuild;

I am experiencing oil pressure variations during recent weekends on the track with my 951. Outdoor temps 85-90, coolant temps range between 1/2 to 3/4. As the coolant temps rise closer to 3/4 I am registering 3.25-3.5 bar even with brisk boost/acceleration. Upon re-starting after cool down between sessions pressures are always 4.0-4.5. Currently using 10w40 Red Line oil. All seems fine otherwise.Pressures on the street are always 4.0-4.5 bar unless idling naturally. I have an aftermarket oil cooler (total fill is 8 quarts) and the oil pan has been baffled.Recent rebuild (13.4k miles since)including rings, head gasket, rods, mains, & all seals, gaskets, o-rings, 574, etc. The crank girdle has been properly sealed and pickup tube o-ring replaced of course. The oil pump was closely examined, reinstalled & properly torqued. There are no oil leaks of any type. Would going to a heavier weight oil be a solution or is there reason to suspect another underlying problem?? I ran my 93-968 all last year on the same tracks with the same 10w40 Red Line & experienced nothing unusual.
