1987 911 Carrera Oil Quantity vs. Temperature

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1987; Body Type: Convertible; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2 liter, stock; Total Mileage: 48,700;

Now that the daytime temperatures are colder, 30's - 40's, I notice thatmy oil temp gauge does not go above approximately 180 degrees (betweenlower white block and first white line). I try to take the car out for arun every week for at least an hour plus, keeping the rpm at around 3,000- 3,700. How does this effect my reading the amount of oil in the car,both the gauge and dipstick? In the summer the oil temperature runsabout 200 degrees. Will I get the same reading at both of thesetemperatures?
