1987 911 Carrera Steering Wheel Replacement

Interior

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera 3.2; Year: 1987; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): Stock 3.2; Total Mileage: 72,000;

I currently live in Germany and drive a German spec. 1991 944S2 which is equipped with a great looking/feeling 930S steering wheel (non-airbag). I have a 1987 Carrera in storage back in the states which I am looking forward to getting back to next May, when I will be moving back from Europe. My Carrera has the stock, 4-spoke steering wheel which looks the same as the steering wheel I think my 944S2 came with standard. Since I've got to sell the 944 here, I'd like to swap the steering wheels before I do. Are they interchangeble? Would I need to purchace any additional hardware to make the columns match up? My gut tells me they will swap with no problem, but before I get someone to pull the wheel back in the States and ship it to me, I thought I'd better asking an expert. Thanks in advance for the help!
