1987 911 Carrera White Smoke at Start Up

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera ; Year: 1987; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): Stock; Total Mileage: 190,000;

My 1987 is my daily driver and has been a real workhorse but still lookswonderful. About 15,000 miles ago, I had the engine overhauled because itwas using excessive oil. Since the overhaul, oil consumption has droppedto nil. Nevertheless, I get a blast of white smoke each time I start theengine. Valve guides were replaced and I got new valves. Is this a valveguide problem? I keep reading that a small amount of blue smoke onstartup is normal but this smoke is white and I've never experienced ituntil after this overhaul.
