1987 924S Front control arm bushings - replacement

Suspension

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 924S; Year: 1987; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 170K km;

I'm about to replace (this weekend) both the inside and the rear bushings on the front control arms (stamped steel) with the stock parts. On the inside bushing, one end has three rubber nipples, the other end has a groove. Which end of the bushing goes toward the rear of the car? Does it matter? Are there any special considerations I should know about? I assume I need an alignment when the job is completed. Thanks.
