1987 944 Engine won't start after sitting a few hours

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 944; Year: 1987; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 225000;

I had a question about my car not starting after it sits for a few hours outside. When I start it to go to classes in the morning it starts up instantly, and if I have to make any stops on the way to school it will start right up but after I get to school and it sits outside in approx 70-80 degree temps for a few hours it takes me a while to get it started. At first it just turns over and over then eventually if I let it sit for a few minutes and crank it it will run for a matter of seconds then shut off again and after a few more cranks I can get it to start. It has never done anything like this before and I've had the car almost five years. It only does it if I leave it outside in moderatly warm temperatures. Any info you have on why its having a problem starting would be greatly appreciated.
