The left side top motor will not activate. The motor itself works - it isnew and it runs when I plug it into the harness (connector?) for theright side motor. When I plug the right side motor into the harness forthe left side, the right side motor no longer works. This leads me tothink that the problem is down wire of the left side motor. In readingthe wiring diagram in the Bentley Carrera manual, I see that there is afuse. Is there a fuse for each side? If so, where may I find the one forthe left? (There does not appear to be one in the main fuse box in theluggage compartment). If there is only one fuse, would it be unlikely for the fuse to be theproblem since the right side works? Is there a way to test to see if theproblem is in the connector - e.g., alignment for the pins from the motorside of the connector, or in the wiring, or the controls? Can you recommend how to get at the likely source of the problem? Couldit be the control module, faulty wiring, something else? What level of experience and skill would likely be required totroubleshoot this problem? In terms of my mechanical ability, I am not amechanic, but can do simple things like changing the electric seatswitches. If it were a matter of installing a new module or wiring, Iprobably could do it; otherwise I would appreciate a recommendation for alocal Seattle shop that could do the work.
