Cables and Controls

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carerra; Year: 1988; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2L; Total Mileage: 85,000 miles/approx.;

In order to disconnect the cruise control with the brake pedal requiresapplying a lot more brake pressure than you want to use. Is this normal?I know on my other car I just have to brush the pedal in order todisconnect. I'm assuming there must be some kind of contact switchconnected to the brake in order to disconnect the cruise control. Isthis just a matter of adjustment or switch replacement since all otherfunctions of the cruise control act normally?
