Greetings, Bill. I've been running in PCA autocross and have some concerns after reading about #2 rod bearing death due to oil starvation during hard cornering. I also recall reading about oil pan baffles as a cure for this problem, and that some oil pans had this built into them. One source that I cannot find again suggested that an external way to tell if your oil pan had the baffle built in was the presence of a "blister" on the bottom of the pan. Is this correct? Approximately in the center of my pan is a round, un-ribbed spot that looks about 4-5 inches in diameter....looks like a "blister" to me. If this is not a way to tell, you do know approximately how much one can expect to pay to have these baffles put in place?
