1989 944 Turbo Peak boost pressure

I just purchased the car in question for much less that market value. And after a few weeks realized why: head gasket failure.So I set out to replace that, along with all of the rubber hoses (coolant and air). In replacing the air hoses most were loose, due to the rubber shrinking with age.So the car is back together now and runs very good.Prior to the engine repair the car seemed to have tremedous amounts of power at full throttle (boost). My rear-end dyno would say close to 300 PS. But now that it has been repaired it seems much more linear with its power delivery, and making good power (maybe more in-line with 250 PS).(Here is the Question) Could the loose air lines (especially the air valve lines) cause the turbo system to over-boost?
