1989 944 voltage drop/temperature gauge rise/warning light

Model: 944, Year:1989, Mileage:188662, Type of use:Street use only
I have been having intermittent electrical problems for a few months now. Canadian car. The car was hard starting in hot and cold weather. The starter was replaced (third starter in three years). Car ran well for two months then developed a voltage drop. Battery was replaced and problem was resolved. After winter rest voltage drop returned once car driven regularly in spring. Symptoms consisted of a low voltage indicator reading with temperature gauge needle going to top along with an exclamation warning light and low oil indicator light. Once car turned off and restarted lights extinguished and gauges return to normal. Grounds for dashboard cleaned and dielectric grease applied. Alternator replaced yesterday. When driving home intermittent flashing of exclamation warning and oil pressure indicator when stopped at stop light. Extinguished once I started driving. Today after stop and start driving low voltage reading coupled with high temperature gauge reading but no lights. What gives? Thanks for your help.
