1989 964 C4 Design 90 wheels

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: 89; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 146,177;

I am currently running design 90 wheels on my 89 Carrera 4. The front rim has a "6" stamped on it while the rear rim has a "7" stamped on it. Are these the correct size rims? I thought they were supposed to be "6" in front and "8" in the rear? I need to buy new tires for my car. I am currently running Nokian NRV's 205/55-16 in front and 225/50-16 in the rear. I would like to use the same rims and put Michelin Pilot's 225/50-16 on the front and a 245/45-16 in the rear. Will this tire size work ok on my current rims or do I need to find a "8" inch wide set of design 90's for the rear? I have also given some thought to moving the "7" inch wide rims to the front and buying a set of "8" inch wide design 90's for the rear. Would this be a good combination? I use the car mostly for touring on marginal Alaskan roads and only 3 or 4 auto cross days a year, so I have elected not to go to a 17 inch wheel. Thanks for your insight.
