Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 C2; Year: 1990; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 147,000;

I have recently mounted new Pirelli Corsa tires (225/45/17) on the front and they rub the outside edge of the front fenders at about 2o''''clock and also where the fender liner meets the inner fender at about 10o''''clock. This occurs when hitting a dip at speed on the highway. They also rub the outer fender while turning and hitting a dip on the track at speed.This was not an issue with the previous Dunlop SP Sport Race tires of the same size. Both tires were mounted on wheels with an offset of 55mm. According to The Tire Rack the Pirellis are 0.6" wider than the Dunlop''''s. Could this be the problem?I considered rolling the fenders, but do not think this will help since the tires rub going in a straight line and while turning. I also considered new wheels with a higher(?) offset, but do not think that will work because the tires rub on the inside too.Do you have any suggestions to get these tires to fit properly and stop rubbing or should I start over with new tires?Thanks for your advice.
