1990 964 Lowering question

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera 2 ; Year: 1990; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 77000;

I have searched the tech section and I can not seem to find a sufficient answer to my predicament.I recently bought a 1990 Targa. It has the original Shocks/springs on it. I would like to replace the shocks and springs to improve handling. It seems to have a bit of body roll through corners right now. Probably replacing it with a stock set up would be fine, but I would also like to lower it about an inch. Right now all my driving is on the street. I may do a DE or two in the future, but street performance is priority.I searched lots of P-car forums and it seems that everyone is using Bilstein HD's with some sort of lowering spring kit. What springs should I get to lower the ride about 1 inch for street use. Everyone has their preference it seems but what is the difference between and Eibach and H&R spring?
