1991 911 C2 Alarm module/Battery drain

Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 C2; Year: 1991; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 72K;

The battery charge drains over a day or so. The draw is approx. 130 Ma with everything off. After pulling each fuse individually, drawn stayed @ 130. Heard clicking noise under pass seat and upon unplugging security module reading went to 40 Ma range. How can I test the security system module? It seems strange that pulling the security fuse did not change the draw reading. Also, the under hood light switch does not alway turn the light off, so I took the bulb out. Could a defective switch cause the alarm module to not perform correctly? With a replacement module costing $300+ I would prefer not to do too much trial and error diagnosing.Great informtion in tech section. thanksRegion: 4Total Mileage: 72KCar Use: Street use only
