1991 944 S2 clutch shudder when hot

Transmission

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 944 S2 Cabriolet; Year: 1991; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 27,500;

I have a 91 S2 Cabriolet, totally stock, with 27K miles. I am the second owner, but have all records and receipts from day one. All the fluids/maintenance are up to par. (example: belts done at 12K just because they were a few years old..)I drive it weekends and occasionally to work in heavy traffic. In heavy, hot summer traffic the clutch starts to judder and grab starting in 1st gear. It also judders sometimes in reverse. This seems to settle down after driving and cooling down. At no time does my temp gage go over about 1/3 of the scale.I have heard everything on this from 1) its the nature of the beast, for S2s and 968's, 2) Clutch is burned 3) pilot bearing is not lubed 4) flywheel is shot, or hot spot 5) glazed clutch liner 6) center rubber is shotNote: I had an 86 944 that I drove 150K through everything. It did not exhibit this at all. I replaced the stock clutch (the rubber clutch center failed at 140K) and it is not the same feeling.What is your opinion? Should I consider a new clutch, stock vs. spring center, etc.? It is enough of a pain to keep me from driving to work, which I like to do.
