Engine

Vehicle Information: Year: 1991; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 39000;

You have responded on a starting issue over the last few days but I think I have figured it out. I thought engine was locked up, replaced battery, cables would get hot when trying but engine would not turn over. Car sat for 2 days, I hit stater and started right up! However big clouds of white smoke came out of exhaust, Shut off, oil level and pressure ok . Let run 3 mins shut off again, let sit 2 hrs retried no smoke for about 2 mins then tons of smoke. It now alternates between tons of smoke and almost none. I think when they loaded on transport they had it tilted for a while up or down in back that caused oil to go where it shouldnt. That caused it to seem locked up but after it drained down to sump it started. Now what do I do? Drive it let it burn out? Take to shop? Drain oil? Let me know I havent gotten it hot at all as I did not want to damage or foul plugs or anything else ugly> Do you agree that tilting could have caused problem? I dont know how long it stayed tilted either>>> Thanks a ton!!!!
