Read all the questions and answers for this problem. Took the car to the dealer, they said the codes indicate a fault on the circuit board behind the clock. I have worked with cars and electronics all my life, and managed to repair mechanical damage to circuit boards, cracks, cold solder joints, replace components etc. My question is this, how do I get to this component board and what does it look like? The dealer said it would cost about $700 to fix the problem (new board+labor) and I would like to take a crack at it before I go that route. If I disconnect the battery the central computeer loses all stored memory right? Will that create any problem when I power it up again?
