1993 964 RS America Suspension

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: RS America; Year: 1993; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 70,000;

After doing DE for years I just completed my first Club Race and I am hooked. Of course I am ready to make some changes where I think makes the most sense for the class I am in (Prepared D). I have a PSS9 and heard that's a great street set up but for pure track I can do better. Sounds pretty wide open and expensive to me but I know you have done lots of work with RS Americas in the past and having owned a few as well. What in your opinion would be the best race suspension set up for an RS America? Is there such thing as one company can do the whole thing or is it piece mealed with different suppliers that are better at certain parts? I heard terms such as JRZ, Moton, etc. None which mean anything to me as far as what will be the best bang for the buck. I don't and won't ever will have a "crew" at the track that is constantly tweaking the suspension to get it right. My guess is once I get my car "sorted", that will be it. Thanks so much for your continued excellent advice. Rob
