1993 RSA crankshaft & transmission damage from pitwall


Vehicle Information: Year: 1993; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 61000;

A recent track spin resulted in the left rear wheel hitting the pit wall. The motor and transmission have been pulled out to inspect the damage and the obvious major damage is to the transmission which was broken in half.Part 1 of my question relates to the crank shaft. The dealer is uncertain as to whether or not the crank is bent. Can this be checked accurately with out disasembling the motor and if so, how. The motor can't be run in its current state on a dyno due to fire damage that resulted from fluid igniting on the exhaust.Part 2 relates to the transmission. Any thoughts on how best to obtain a replacement for my RSA that has a limited slip differential. Any additional thoughts on whether or not a significant amount of unseen damage could have been caused to the motor?
