This is more of a comment regarding a post on 8/19/2002. The power antenna and the rad fan share the same fuse in the 1984 944. For some strange reason, if the fuse is blown (or missing as in my case) and you turn the radio on, the antenna does not move but the rad fan comes on. Also, the rad fan does not come on when the engine gets hot. Somehow when the relay in the antenna closes, it provides a ground to the fan but there is not any current going through the antenna. This was confirmed when I removed the antenna and grounded the 12 volt antenna lead: the fan came on. Replace the fuse and all returns to normal. Unfortunately I do not have a detailed wiring schematic of the power antenna to trace this strange occurance. Any ideas?
