1994 964 Speedster electrical short

Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Year: 1994 Speedster; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 21628;

I have a slow discharge problem on my 94 911 Speedster with the tiptronic transmission which I nor my mechanic (factory certified) has been able to locate. Recently, I was recharging the battery and decided to start the car with the charger attached in the "start mode" which I had done on numerous occasions in the past. The car started fine but the ABS light, airbag light, central warning light and rear spoiler light are staying on and the odometer does not work. Also, the car seems a little sluggish. I have not driven the car over 2 or 3 miles since this occurred. I reside about 40 miles from the only Porsche dealer in the central Oklahoma area and did not want to drive that far without knowing if I would damage the car further. The number 16 fuse is blown and every time I insert a new one, it immediately blows, even without turning the ignition on. The owners manual offers little if any help beyond replacing a fuse. Can you help?
