1994 964 Speedster Engine dies when off throttle

Vehicle Information: Year: 1994; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 113000;

Did you ever find out what the cause of this problem was? My car has the same problem and it has gone on for quite some time (years). I use Chevron Gas most of the time in the car. I only seems to happen when I let the engine slow the car down. I also have a cranking problem when the car is hot and the day is in the 70s-80s. Could these two be related. Here is the original post that I read on your website:-----------My engine will quit upon a long deceleration or down hill run when my foot is off the throttle. It will pick up again after a bit when I accelerate or pump the throttle. Other than this it runs fine all through the ranges and at idle. I am thinking it is a fuel problem because the tach doesn't kick off as though it isn't receiving a signal. The fuel filter was replaced about three thousand miles ago when it received a 60,000 mile service, I recently swapped in a new DME relay with no effect. I had it in the shop today where they hooked it up to a Hammer and received no codes. They have two other cars in the shop with the same problem and haven't figured it out yet.
