1994 968 Electric seat switches

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 968; Year: 1994; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 88K;

I have a new to me 1994 968 coupe. Yesterday, my son inadvertently lowered the driver's seat backrest while attempting to adjust the seat to fit him. The switch intended to raise the seat backrest doesn't work in that position.The driver's seat has two four-position switches. The switches work in all positions but the one which would raise the backrest. The backrest will lower perfectly fine but there is no reaction to an attempt to raise it.My questions:Is the motor which lowers the backrest the same one that should raise it? If yes, is this likely a switch problem, or is it likely that the motor will only run in one direction?If I pull the panel with the two switches on it, will I find a set of wires, two of which I might jump to drive the motor that adjusts the backrest in the proper direction to raise it?If this proves to be a switch problem, do you know if these switches are active parts with Porsche?In the meantime, is there a way that I can get this seatback raised manually to make the car more driveable than it currently is?
