1995 993 Engine rumble upon releasing throttle

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 993 Cabriolet; Year: 1995; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 50000;

I have had my 993 for several months and recently started driving with the top down. When I have the top down, I now frequently (but not always) hear the engine girgling or rumbling when I release the throttle but as soon as I lightly step on the accelerator, it goes away. Is this normal, and if not, any thoughts on what this is or whether it could be damaging my engine? I am using this car as a commuter car and drive mixed highway and city traffic (approx. 1000 miles/month). I do not have service records on the car, but the used car dealer/service center that I bought the car from supposedly tuned it up when I bought it (a non-Porsche dealer that specializes in Porsches). I don't know if it is related, but I also have the brief cold idle surge that I have read others mention on your site, and a small oil leak. Any thoughts you have on what this might be and what it should cost to remedy would be greatly appreciated.
