1995 993 jacking by lower aluminum suspension beam foreward of the rear sway bar

Body

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 1995; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 84000;

A lot of people raise their cars to place on stands by jacking under engine. I have done this and suspect that it may be contributing to by engine leak I wrote you about earlier.There is a beam ( I suspect it is the lower suspension beam that is just ahead of the rear sway bar (toward front) ...looks to be approx between the engine and transmission. I woud prefer to place a 3-4 foot length of 2X 6 under this beam and raise the car for stands there.Would this cause a great deal of stress on the beam. My alignment shop raises the car on their Hunter machine by the ends of this bar.Your thought would be greatly appreciatedThanks
