1995 993 odometer and rear spoiler fails to elevate at 50+ mph but works manually

Vehicle Information: Model: Porche 993 - 911; Year: 1995; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 71,000;

Question 1: I have seen this question previously in your on-line literature but I need more clarification. According to some of the answers, I guess the plastic gear is in the speedometer housing. My question is, how do I get to that housing - from the trunk or from the dash? The odometer does not work. The speedometer does work. Question 2: The rear spoiler does work manually and I realize that probably a sensor sets it off at 50mph. My questions are, where is this sensor located and/or what else should I look for? I don't know why it is failing to elevate at 50mph+. That's how it was when I purchased the car. Any advice is appreciated. The site is awesome. Thanks.
