1995 993 Tube to idle control valve

Hi Joel,I have an unusual question. I have a 1995 3.6L motor with a TPC supercharger. I am adding an intercooler to the supercharger and need to relocate the air intake to the right side of the engine. Along with this of course is the idle control valve. I don't know what is flowing through the idle control valve. I'm assuming it is just air. Can I put a peice of heater hose in there to connect to the idle control valve or do I need something more durable? Thanks in advance for your help.
