Joel, As I was removing the heat exchangers to clean out the SAI ports, one of the cylinder head exhaust studs (which hold the heat exchanger to the exhaust ports) came out along with the nut. Since I'm this far along I'm considering replacing all the exhaust studs since they're rusted. The shop manual requires the use of Loctite 270 which is a "permanent" adhesive. To remove the studs, Loctite recommends heating the elements to 250 degrees Celsius. My question is: how do I do that? Can I use a propane torch to do this and, if so, will it cause damage to the cylinder head? Should I only heat the stud itself or the surrounding area on the cylinder head? Oh yeah, how do I know when I've reached the proper temperature? Thanks, as usual, for any advice :)
