1996 993 Clutch pedal soft at altitude

Transmission and Clutch

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 1996; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 68000;

Hi Joel,Yesterday I took a drive through rocky mountain national parkand found that as I climbed higher into the mountains myclutch pedal got softer and wasn't fully disengaging the transmission.And the peddle didn't return to it normal position unless I pulled itup with my toe.I did my best to avoid shifting, hoping to at least make it home.As we descended down the mountain the pedal started workbetter and better, by the time we got home it was working fineagain.Any suggestions? What do you think would cause this problem?Air in the line? A failing master or slave cylinder?Thanks,Bret
