1996 993 Just installed two 13 row oil coolers

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1996; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 58300;

Hi Joel, Just recently installed two 13 row oil coolers on a MY96 Carrera Coupe. Now I noticed that the temp would go above half way(194+F) then drop back down to the 2nd mark(122F), and it would cycle up and down through these temps as we drive around. Its like when the thermostat opens it would rapidly drop, then goes back up again(I guess when the thermostat closes). I should note that the temperature here in Norfolk, VA is still around 40s. Is the cycling bad? Where's is the temp sensor that giving the readout to the gauge located at? Is this the same sensor that trigers the cooling fan and thermostat or is there a seperate sensor for that thats actually in the engine?Thanks!Car Use: Street use only
