1996 993 Stiff shifting

Transmission and Clutch

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1996; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 44000;

Follow up:New clutch installed at Scottsdale Porsche and the original DMF remains.I may change the fluid to see what is in there. When I dropped by the dealer, my mechanic (Ken - he knows you, old racing buddies) said let's just watch it.The car is very drivable, the shifts are simply harder, but not hard. No grinding.If the clutch was not fully releasing, wouldn't there be grinding going into the next gear?If I jack up the car (with jack stands) can I check the shift rod coupler myself? Is it hard to find. The belly pan is already off. If it is easy to find, can you tell me where it is? Torque spec?Sure hope I don't need to have the transmission rebuilt. I might have to drive it to NY and have you do the work (jk).I am the guy with the candle wax in the brake system, who sent you the old parts.As always, thanks.
