1996 993 warm start problem

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1996; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 62000;

Intermittent problem. After having driven the car to operating temperature, then shut off the car and try to restart either right away or an hour later, it will not start. Starter turns for a few seconds, then nothing - starter motor quits, engine does not start. However, if I try to crank it again and push the throttle, it starts right up. No problems in cold start ever. Recently replaced ignition wires, valve cover gasket, A/C evaporator, expansion valve, drier; also cured the check engine light: machined heads, clean air injector, reseal engine, valve guides, etc.Any clues as to why engine is stubborn to warm restart?Thank you.
